The rural drama's hour-long outing, which saw Gennie catch the cheating pair red-handed, entertained 6.13m (30.6%) on ITV1 from 7pm and 239k (1.0%) on +1.
Hollyoaks, meanwhile, enjoyed its highest figure in weeks as a drunken night for the village's male residents was watched by 1.08m (5.8%) at 6.30pm on Channel 4 and 126k (0.6%) on +1. Later, E4's first look also performed well, securing 613k (3.2%) at 7pm.
Over on Channel 5, Neighbours grabbed 729k (9.5%) at 1.45pm and 983k (6.4%) at 5.30pm, while Home and Away appealed to 621k (3.6%) at 6pm and 536k (2.9%) for 5*'s first look at 6.30pm.
