Coronation Street and EastEnders were both above the 8m mark in Monday evening's (May 14) soap ratings, overnight figures show.
Coronation Street pulled in 8.43m (39.0%) at 7.30pm and 173k (0.7%) on +1 as Eileen and Paul were questioned over Lesley's death, while 8.65m (37.4%) watched at 8.30pm and 246k (1.0%) on timeshift as the troubled couple parted ways.
EastEnders, meanwhile, attracted 8.12m (35.6%) at 8pm as Ben confessed his dark secret to Ian. BBC Three's repeat screening secured 787k (4.0%) at 10pm.
Emmerdale interested 6.63m (33.0%) at 7pm and 140k (0.6%) on +1 with the Dingle family's latest troubles, while Hollyoaks appealed to 845k (4.5%) at 6.30pm on Channel 4 and 439k (2.2%) for E4's first look at 7pm.
Over on Channel 5, Neighbours grabbed 750k (10.4%) at 1.45pm and 975k (6.5%) at 5.30pm, while Home and Away managed 670k (3.8%) at 6pm and 426k (2.3%) for 5*'s first look at 6.30pm.
Elsewhere, the dramatic car crash stunt in Doctors was seen by 1.44m (20.3%) at 1.45pm on BBC One.
