EastEnders was back above the 8m mark on Tuesday evening (May 1) as Ian Beale faced a difficult day, overnight figures show.
EastEnders pulled in 8.11m (38.0%) at 7.30pm on BBC One with Ian's unwelcome visits from his accountant and a health inspector. BBC Three's repeat screening secured 750k (3.9%) at 10pm
Also on BBC One, Holby City entertained 5.04m (22.0%) at 8pm with an episode titled 'Coercion'.
Emmerdale, meanwhile, attracted 6.72m (33.7%) at 7pm and 122k (0.5%) on +1 as Chas asked Cameron to leave Debbie.
Hollyoaks interested 879k (4.6%) at 6.30pm on Channel 4 with Bart's cannabis storyline, while E4's first look was watched by 512k (2.6%) at 7pm.
Over on Channel 5, Neighbours grabbed 685k (9.0%) at 1.45pm and 1.02m (6.8%) at 5.30pm, while Home and Away had 792k (4.5%) at 6pm and 516k (2.7%) for 5*'s first look at 6.30pm.
Elsewhere, the latest episode of Doctors - titled 'Wind Up' - was seen by 1.42m (18.9%) at 1.45pm on BBC One.
