Corrie's Frank, Carla, Peter drama hots up with 9.2m

Coronation Street was easily the most-watched soap on Friday night.

At 8.30pm, 9.11m (38.1%) watched Peter and Carla being caught out by Frank, as well as a further 103k (0.4%) on ITV1 +1.

An hour earlier, 8.75m (38.4%) tuned in as Frank prepared his private investigator.

Jane Beale's departure from Albert Square in EastEnders attracted 7.72m (33.7%) at 8pm. BBC Three's 10pm repeat added 607k (2.9%).

Emmerdale logged 7.2m (33.6%) as Debbie and Andy struggled to hind their feelings for each other, while the second part of Doctors' 'Completion Day' mustered 1.45m (18.4%).

Neighbours grabbed 730k (9.2%) at 1.45pm and 1.1m (6.4%) at 5.30pm, then Home and Away took 888k (4.6%) at 6pm before 5*'s first look drew 465k (2.3%).

Finally, Mercedes's blackmail in Hollyoaks was watched by 897k (4.4%) at 6.30pm, then E4's first look had 396k (1.9%).
