Friday ratings: 'EastEnders' gathers 9.1m for Pat's funeral

EastEnders stayed above the 9m mark on Friday evening as Pat's friends and family gathered for her funeral, overnight figures show.
EastEnders' extended 40-minute episode pulled in 9.14m (37.2%) at 8pm as Pat's loved ones said their goodbyes and Simon Wicks paid a secret visit to her grave. BBC Three's repeat screening later secured 862k (4.2%) at 10pm.
Coronation Street attracted 8.76m (37.7%) at 7.30pm as Tyrone discovered that Kirsty is pregnant. The second episode of the double bill, which had a 10-minute clash with EastEnders, slipped to 6.76m (26.7%) at 8.30pm, adding 254k (1.0%) on +1.
Emmerdale, meanwhile, interested 7.37m (34.0%) at 7pm as Andy crushed Alicia's hopes of a reunion.
Brendan's return to violence on Hollyoaks was seen by 933k (4.6%) at 6.30pm on Channel 4, while E4's first look at the next episode delivered 555k (2.6%) at 7pm.
Elsewhere, the latest edition of Doctors - titled 'Freegan To Choose' - mustered 1.53m (22.4%) at 1.45pm.
