Alice Coulthard has revealed that she has rejected approaches to pose for lads' mags because the photoshoots lack "artistic merit".


The Emmerdale actress said that she is not averse to getting her kit off, as long as it is done within the right context.

Coutlhard, who plays Maisie Wylde in the country soap, told the Press Association: "I have no problem with nudity - I've been in a play and been completely naked on stage every night. It depends on the context.

"If I'm known, I want to be known for being an actor. If there was going to be some kind of artistic merit, I'd do it. I'm not afraid to take my clothes off, but I'm not going to do it for Nuts or Loaded!"

Coulthard's character was recently shocked and sickened following the discovery that her love interest, mechanic Ryan Lamb (James Sutton), is actually her half-brother.
