Tuesday ratings: EastEnders' Derek threats seen by 8.7m

EastEnders topped the soap ratings on Tuesday evening as Derek Branning continued to cause trouble on the Square, overnight figures show.
EastEnders attracted 8.74m (38.7%) at 7.30pm as David and Michael resolved to team up against Derek following the bad boy's latest threats. BBC Three's repeat screening later secured 702k (3.4%) at 10pm.
Also on BBC One, Holby City entertained 5.35m (22.9%) at 8pm as emotions ran high between Greg and Sahira.
Emmerdale, meanwhile, pulled in 7.12m (32.8%) at 7pm and 223k (1.0%) on ITV1+1 as Cain made his big decision over Zak.
Hollyoaks interested 1.2m (5.8%) at 6.30pm on Channel 4 and 111k (0.5%) on +1 as Brendan lost his temper during a football game, while E4's first look appealed to 607k (2.8%) at 7pm.
Elsewhere, Doctors mustered 1.88m (26.4%) at 1.45pm on BBC One for an episode titled 'Yesterday'.
