Coronation Street put in its best audience all week last night, pulling in a total of 9.3m for its standalone Friday night episode.
Sophie and Sian's wedding drama was seen by 8.73m (35.5%) at 7.30pm and 517k (2.1%) on ITV1 +1.
However,
EastEnders retained its pole position with 9m (35%) for Alfie's woes at 8pm on BBC One. BBC Three's 10pm repeat added 752k (3.8%).
Emmerdale held a solid 7.31m (31.9%) at 7pm and 113k (0.4%) on ITV1 +1 as Nikhil reported Charity to the police for Cain's attempted murder
Channel 4's 6.30pm edition of
Hollyoaks appealed to 1m (4.7%). E4's first look then had 543k (2.4%).
