Coronation Street topped the 9m mark on Monday evening as Peter Barlow's story took its latest twists, overnight figures show.
Coronation Street pulled in 9.48m (39.6%) at 7.30pm and 126k (0.5%) on +1 as Peter woke up at Carla's place. The second episode of the double bill kept 9.06m (34.5%) at 8.30pm and 204k (0.8%) on timeshift as Peter faced a huge decision over his future.
EastEnders, meanwhile, attracted 8.89m (34.5%) at 8pm as Heather Trott became embroiled in Phil's stalker mystery. BBC Three's 10pm repeat took 762k (3.6%).
Emmerdale's own mystery storyline also continued to appeal to viewers as 8.04m (34.8%) tuned in at 7pm to see John Barton arrested over Cain's attack, while the ITV1+1 screening had 138k (0.5%).
Hollyoaks entertained 1.18m (5.3%) at 6.30pm as Mitzeee's fear of Warren intensified, while E4's first look was seen by 554k (2.4%) at 7pm and 101k (0.4%) on +1.
Over on Channel 5,
Neighbours dipped to 476k (6.6%) at lunchtime but had a strong 1.31m (7.7%) at 5.30pm, while
Home and Away mustered 935k (4.7%) at 6pm and 427k (1.9%) for 5*'s first look.
Elsewhere, the latest episode of
Doctors - titled 'Life Lines' - was watched by 1.75m (24.2%) at lunchtime.
