Emmerdale continued to be boosted by its Cain storyline on Wednesday evening as hatred of the bad boy grew in the village, overnight figures show.
Emmerdale pulled in 7.72m (35.1%) at 7pm - up 450k week-on-week - as Jai decided that it was time to report Cain to the police following his latest threats. A further 180k (0.8%) watched on timeshift.
Hollyoaks, meanwhile, attracted 1.17m (5.5%) at 6.30pm on Channel 4 and 170k (0.8%) on +1 as Theresa questioned Warren about Ethan's accusations. E4's first look screening secured 472k (2.2%) at 7pm and 156k (0.7%) on timeshift.
Over on Channel 5,
Neighbours appealed to 683k (9.6%) at 1.45pm and 1.32m (7.8%) at 5.30pm, while
Home and Away mustered 924k (4.7%) at 6pm and 496k (2.3%) for 5*'s first look at events in Summer Bay.
Elsewhere, the latest edition of
Doctors - titled 'Hitting The Wall' - took 1.57m (22.2%) at lunchtime.
