EastEnders topped the soap ratings on Tuesday evening as Tanya made a shock decision, overnight figures show.
EastEnders pulled in 8.85m (37.8%) at 7.30pm for an episode which saw Tanya refuse to have any more treatment for her cancer. The BBC Three repeat screening added 873k (4.4%) at 10pm.
Also on BBC One,
Holby City entertained 5.37m (22.2%) at 8pm for the latest developments involving Malick and Michael.
Emmerdale attracted 7.24m (32.2%) at 7pm and 170k (0.7%) on timeshift as Ashley finally confronted Laurel with his suspicions, while Gilly's
Hollyoaks departure interested 1.21m (5.7%) on Channel 4 at 6.30pm. Hollyoaks' E4 first look screening, which saw Mercedes face a new setback, took 558k (2.5%) at 7pm.
Over on Channel 5,
Neighbours secured 736k (9.8%) at 1.45pm and 1.17m (6.9%) at 5.30pm, while
Home and Away appealed to 957k (4.9%) at 6pm. 5*'s first look at the Summer Bay soap managed 516k (2.4%) at 6.30pm.
Meanwhile, the latest instalment of
Doctors - titled 'No Going Back, Part Two' - was watched by 1.77m (23.5%) at lunchtime.
