Coronation Street topped the soap ratings on Monday evening as Ciaran McCarthy scrambled to save his wedding plans, overnight figures show.
Coronation Street was seen by 9.15m (38.2%) at 7.30pm as Ciaran begged for Peter's help over his financial problems. The second episode of the double bill, which saw Ciaran hatch a desperate plan, pulled in 9.75m (37.0%) at 8.30pm and 114k (0.4%) on timeshift.
Emmerdale also delivered for ITV1 as it appealed to 7.71m (33.6%) at 7pm with Nikhil and Gennie's passionate kiss.
EastEnders, meanwhile, launched a big week of episodes for the Branning family with 8.61m (33.3%) at 8pm and 662k (3.2%) for the BBC Three repeat at 10pm.
Hollyoaks had 1.23m (5.7%) at 6.30pm on Channel 4 and a further 155k (0.6%) on timeshift as Gilly confessed to raping Jacqui, while E4's first look episode entertained 621k (2.7%) at 7pm.
Over on Channel 5,
Neighbours secured 701k (9.3%) at 1.45pm and 1.33m (7.8%) at 5.30pm, while
Home and Away took 875k (4.4%) at 6pm. 5*'s first look at the Summer Bay soap had 427k (2.0%) at 6.30pm.
Meanwhile, the latest episode of
Doctors - titled 'No Going Back, Part One' - was seen by 1.75m (23.2%) at 1.45pm.
