Hollyoaks' first look screening stayed well above the 1m mark last night as serial killer Silas Blissett continued to play his twisted games, overnight figures show.
Hollyoaks was seen by 1.26m (5.5%) on E4 at 7pm for an episode which explored the aftermath of Silas demanding to see arch-nemesis Lynsey. A further 207k (0.9%) watched on timeshift.
Meanwhile, the show's Channel 4 airing attracted 1.49m (6.8%) at 6.30pm and 152k (0.7%) on timeshift as the Costellos finally discovered that Silas was the killer.
Emmerdale was the most-watched soap of the day, pulling in 6.99m (30.6%) at 7pm as Andy told Alicia the full extent of the saviour sibling plan. The +1 screening added a further 191k (0.8%).
Meanwhile, BBC One's
Waterloo Road entertained 4.79m (20.3%) at 7.30pm as an important visitor turned up at the school.
Over on Channel 5,
Neighbours secured 678k (9.3%) at 1.45pm and 1.38m (8.1%) at 5.30pm, while
Home and Away took 904k (4.5%) at 6pm. 5*'s first look at the Summer Bay soap appealed to 453k (2.1%) at 6.30pm.
Elsewhere, the latest episode of
Doctors - titled 'The Driving Seat' - was seen by 1.58m (21.7%) at 1.45pm on BBC One.
