The aftermath of Silas's latest murder helped E4's first look showing of Hollyoaks hit a ratings high on Tuesday night, while EastEnders scored with Yusef's comeuppance, according to overnight audience data.
Hollyoaks was seen by 1.17m (5.3%) on E4 from 7pm as Riley confronted Silas. A further 265k (1.2%) tuned in on +1.
Earlier, the village was left stunned as it learned of Heidi Costello's murder, with the episode pulling in 1.14m (5.4%) on Channel 4 from 6.30pm, and 154k (0.7%) an hour later.
BBC One's
EastEnders was enjoyed by 8.36m (36.4%) from 7.30pm, as Yusef was forced to confess his deceit over the DNA test. The repeat screening fetched 856k (4.4%) on BBC Three from 10pm.

Holby City grabbed 5.6m (24.3%) in the 8pm hour for the episode 'Shame', featuring Michael's determination to clear his name after the scandal.
Emmerdale averaged 6.93m (31.4%) for ITV1 from 7.00pm and 149k (0.7%) on +1 as Alicia and Cameron were informed of Andy and Debbie's plan to have another baby.
Earlier in the day,
Doctors entertained 1.63m (23.5%) on BBC One from 1.45pm, while
Neighbours had 712k (10.2%) on Channel 5. The Aussie drama's repeat screening was watched by 1.34m (8.3%) from 5.30pm.
Home and Away managed 888k (4.6%) on Channel 5 from 6pm, before 5*'s first look at the next episode pulled in 501k (2.4%).
