Friday ratings: 'Hollyoaks' Silas murder attracts 768k to E4

Hollyoaks' first look airing continued to perform strongly on E4 last night as serial killer Silas Blissett claimed another victim.

Hollyoaks was seen by 768k (3.7%) at 7pm and 134k (0.6%) on timeshift as fans watched another female resident lose her life at the hands of the evil grandfather.

Earlier, the show's Channel 4 screening attracted 1.08m (5.6%) at 6.30pm and 159k (0.7%) on +1 as the fateful Halloween party began at Chez Chez.

Coronation Street was the most-watched soap of the day, pulling in 8.65m (39.0%) at 7.30pm and 8.67m (36.1%) at 8.30pm for the latest twists in the John Stape saga. The timeshift screenings were seen by 108k (0.5%) and 245k (1.1%) at 8.30pm and 9.30pm respectively.

EastEnders appealed to 7.56m (32.4%) at 8pm and 691k (3.4%) for BBC Three's repeat screening at 10pm as Ben and Lola slept together, while Emmerdale entertained 6.57m (31.9%) at 7pm with the latest developments for Cain and Moira.

Over on Channel 5, Neighbours took 595k (8.3%) at 1.45pm and 1.08m (7.0%) at 5.30pm, while Home and Away had 912k (5.2%) at 6pm. 5*'s first look at the Summer Bay soap secured 551k (2.8%) at 6.30pm.

Meanwhile, the latest episode of BBC One's Doctors - titled 'The Only Way Is Letherbridge' - was seen by 1.41m (19.8%) at 1.45pm.
