'EastEnders' grabs 7.3m as Max, Tanya unite

Max and Tanya's decision to be together ensured EastEnders stayed above 7 million viewers on Tuesday evening, the latest audience data has revealed.

EastEnders was seen by 7.36m (35%) from 7.30pm, as Max and Tanya decided to be together full-time following a confrontation with Jack. The repeat screening fetched 703k (3.1%) on BBC Three from 10pm.

Also on BBC One, Holby City grabbed 5.07m (22.5%) in the 8pm hour for the episode 'Walk The Line', featuring Greg having to deal with the troubles of old school friend Andy, as well as his own demons.

Emmerdale was watched by 5.89m (29.4%) on ITV1 from 7pm and 142k (0.6%) on +1, as Aaron broke into Mill Cottage and started smashing things up, prompting Carl to make a phone call.

Elsewhere, Hollyoaks appealed to 950k (5%) on Channel 4 from 6.30pm, before E4's first look at the next episode mustered 503k (2.5%) from 7pm and 125k (0.6%) on +1.

Earlier in the day, Doctors entertained 1.47m (18.8%) on BBC One from 1.45pm, while Neighbours had 610k (7.8%) on Channel 5. The Aussie drama's repeat screening was watched by 1.09m (7.6%) from 5.30pm.
