EastEnders fell to disappointing levels on Friday night, early viewing figures indicate.
Eddie's mysterious behaviour in the Albert Square serial attracted 6.65m (33.1%) to BBC One at 8pm and 782k (4.3%) to BBC Three's repeat at 10pm.
Coronation Street was predictably the most-watched show, with 7.48m (39.7%) at 7.30pm (+1: 161k) for Steve's regret over his night with Tracy, and 7.32m (34.8%) at 8.30pm (+1: 193k) as Tracy left the Street.
Elsewhere, Emmerdale picked up an impressive 6.17m (35.3%) at 7pm (+1: 140k) as Sarah's bruises continued to worry Debbie and Andy, while an episode of Doctors titled 'Sunday, Sunday' averaged 1.46m (19.1%).
Meanwhile, Hollyoaks took just 805k (5%) at 6.30pm, then E4's first look fetched 340k (1.9%) at 7pm.
Neighbours delivered 564k (7.3%) at 1.45pm and 995k (8.1%) at 5.30pm, while Home and Away mustered 711k (4.9%) at 6pm and a further 492k (3.1%) at 6.30pm.
