Pat's fight to keep Ricky in Walford helped EastEnders stay close to 8 million viewers on Tuesday evening, the latest audience data has revealed.
EastEnders was seen by 7.72m (36.8%) from 7.30pm, as Pat tried to make sure Ricky didn't leave for Dubai, despite him being determined to go. The repeat screening fetched 851k (4.3%) on BBC Three from 10pm.
Also on BBC One, Holby City grabbed 5.43m (25.1%) in the 8pm hour for the episode 'Going It Alone', featuring Sahira's surgical and leadership skills being severely tested in the cardiac trauma facility's trial.
Emmerdale was watched by 6.17m (31.2%) on ITV1 from 7pm and 155k (0.7%) on +1, as Amy quickly realised that Jared had the upper hand when he threatened to expose her past.
Elsewhere, Hollyoaks appealed to 1.03m (5.6%) on Channel 4 from 6.30pm, before E4's first look at the next episode mustered 504k (2.5%) from 7pm and 117k (0.6%) on E4+1.
Earlier in the day, Doctors entertained 1.62m (21.7%) on BBC One from 1.45pm, while Neighbours had 724k (9.7%) on Channel 5. The Aussie drama's repeat screening was watched by 1.16m (8.2%) from 5.30pm.
Home and Away fetched 772k (4.6%) from 6pm, before 5*'s first look at the next episode entertained 460k (2.5%) from 6.30pm.
