The group of houses used to film Brookside are to go on the market, a report suggests.
According to The Sun, the 13 properties in Brookside Close are being prepared for sale after lying empty since the Liverpool-based soap was axed in 2003.
The cul-de-sac of homes was sold to an anonymous buyer for £735,000 at an auction last December. The successful bidder is now expected to sell each individual residence for around £200,000.
Brookside's Merseyside estate made it the only UK soap to use real-life houses for filming rather than sets. The decision was made in order to provide a realistic setting.
The drama launched on Channel 4 in 1982, but was eventually dropped from the schedules due to poor ratings following a run of 21 years.
