Executives have apparently trademarked a line of 'Corrie' cosmetics and are planning to sign licensing deals with companies wanting to produce various products.

According to the Sunday Mirror, marketing experts are currently working on possible names and the first items to be launched will be beauty goods.

The trademark, registered with the Intellectual Property Office, also covers perfumes, cosmetics, hair lotions, eaux de cologne, shampoos and toiletries.

A source said: "Corrie is known around the world and it would be madness not to patent the name and look into bringing out some products for its millions of fans."
