The 7.30pm episode of Coronation Street was Friday's highest-rated show, as 6.17 million (35.6%) tuned in to watch quiz night at the Rovers.
A further 5.97 million (31.2%) watched the aftermath of Erica's collapse at 8.30pm on ITV.
Over on BBC One, EastEnders entertained 5.7 million (31.9%) at 8pm, as Dean nervously prepared to meet his daughter for the first time.
An average audience of 5.13 million (31.8%) watched as Marlon made a decision about his and Laurel's future in Emmerdale at 7pm.
Channel 4's 6pm showing of Hollyoaks was seen by 430k (2.9%), while 366k (2.3%) watched the first look showing at 7pm on E4.
A day of soaps kicked off with 203k (3.1%) for Home and Away at 1.15pm on Channel 5. Neighbours followed with 560k (8.8%) at 1.45pm.
The 5.30pm repeat of Neighbours was seen by 655k (5.2%), while Home and Away entertained 495k (3.5%) immediately after.
Another 283k (1.9%) watched 5*'s first look showing of Home and Away at 6pm.
The latest episode of BBC One's Doctors, which saw Mrs Tembe help a bride-to-be, was seen by 1.22 million (19.4%) at 1.45pm.
