Coronation Street topped a lacklustre evening for ratings on Friday (June 19), overnight figures show.
The Weatherfield soap attracted 5.89m (34.9%) at 7.30pm on ITV and 171k (0.9%) on +1 as Alya cheated on Gary by making a move on Jason. 5.65m (29.9%) returned at 8.30pm and 182k (1.0%) on +1 as Alya struggled with her guilt when Gary proposed shortly after she had slept with Jason.
EastEnders claimed 5.28m (29.7%) at 8pm on BBC One as Stacey pursued Martin after getting jealous over Shabnam and Kush. BBC Three's repeat screening had 317k (2.0%) at 10.15pm.
Emmerdale entertained 4.58m (30.0%) at 7pm on ITV and 132k (0.7%) on +1 as Robert began to scheme following his discovery of Cain and Chrissie's kiss.
