Coronation Street brings in 6.1m on Friday evening

Coronation Street was Friday's most-watched programme (June 12) with the Websters' kidnap shock, overnight figures show.

6.14m (34.1%) tuned in at 7.30pm on ITV and 141k (0.7%) on +1 as Jenny put her plan to snatch Jack into action on the day of Maddie's funeral. 6.13m (30.8%) returned at 8.30pm and 176k (0.9%) on +1 as Kevin and Sophie were shocked to realise that Jenny had fled with the youngster.

EastEnders managed 5.27m (27.8%) at 8pm on BBC One as Shirley met her granddaughter for the first time. BBC Three's repeat screening had 318k (1.9%) at 10.15pm.

Emmerdale wasn't far behind EastEnders, claiming 5.05m (30.3%) at 7pm on ITV and 136k (0.7%) on +1 as Leyla overheard Jai threatening Rachel.

Doctors interested 1.18m (20.1%) at 1.45pm on BBC One as Zara considered taking a one-year break.

Neighbours entertained 517k (8.8%) at 1.45pm and 615k (5.0%) at 5.30pm on Channel 5 as Terese gave Brad a final warning about their marriage.

Hollyoaks brought in 545k (3.6%) at 6.30pm on Channel 4 as an emotional Robbie barricaded Phoebe's hospital room after being released from prison. Unusually, E4's first look was ahead of the main showing with 549k (3.3%) at 7pm - topping the day's multichannel figures.

Home and Away mustered 191k (3.2%) at 1.15pm and 419k (3.0%) at 6pm on Channel 5, while 5*'s first look followed with 311k (2.1%) at 6.30pm.
