David's scheme seen by 6.7m on Monday's Coronation Street

Coronation Street was Monday's top-rated programme with David's failed scheme against Callum, overnight figures show.

6.74m (35.9%) watched at 7.30pm on ITV and 136k (0.6%) on +1 as David blackmailed Andy into helping him get Callum into trouble, while 6.69m (31.4%) returned at 8.30pm and 146k (0.7%) on +1 as David was forced to face the music when his plan backfired.

EastEnders brought in 6.39m (31.4%) at 8pm on BBC One as Linda decided to confront Dean on the day of Stan's funeral, while BBC Three's repeat screening secured 335k (2.6%) at 10.30pm.

Emmerdale interested 5.57m (32.9%) at 7pm on ITV and 180k (0.9%) on +1 as Donny shocked Chrissie with a plan for Lachlan's future.

Hollyoaks claimed 818k (5.2%) at 6.30pm on Channel 4 as Cameron hijacked Leela's wedding car, while the fallout brought 556k (3.3%) to E4's first look at 7pm.

Neighbours appealed to 529k (9.5%) at 1.45pm and 780k (6.7%) at 5.30pm on Channel 5 as Bailey's behaviour spiralled out of control.

Home and Away entertained 176k (3.0%) at 1.15pm and 606k (4.3%) at 6pm on Channel 5, while 5*'s first look had 391k (2.5%) at 6.30pm.

Elsewhere, Doctors was seen by 1.19m (21.6%) at 1.45pm on BBC One.
