Coronation Street was Wednesday's (April 8) most-watched programme with the latest developments in Faye Windass' baby storyline, overnight figures show.
6.88m (35.9%) tuned in at 7.30pm on ITV and 226k (1.1%) on +1 as Faye confronted her baby's father, who denied everything.
Emmerdale attracted 5.72m (32.6%) at 7pm on ITV and 142k (0.7%) on +1 as Chas had a close call when Robert's plan to silence her forever was interrupted.
Hollyoaks grabbed 802k (5.1%) at 6.30pm on Channel 4 as Grace's scheme finally backfired on her, while E4's first look followed with 500k (2.8%) at 7pm and 113k (0.6%) on +1.
