Coronation Street topped the soap ratings on Wednesday evening (March 18) with the Chesney and Katy storyline, overnight figures show.
Corrie was the most-watched show of the day, bringing in 6.8m (32.7%) at 7.30pm on ITV and 164k (0.8%) on +1 as Sinead continued to oppose Chesney's heartbreaking decision to let Katy move to Portugal with Joseph.
Emmerdale interested 5.99m (31.6%) at 7pm on ITV and 117k (0.6%) on +1 as Lachlan terrified Alicia by confronting her over her sexual assault allegations.
EastEnders was once again dented by airing outside of its usual day and slot, dipping to 4.94m (22.6%) at 8.30pm on BBC One as Sonia and Tina's passion was reignited - the soap's lowest rating since September last year. BBC Three's repeat screening secured 394k (2.9%) at 10.30pm.
Hollyoaks attracted 841k (4.7%) at 6.30pm on Channel 4 as Grace forced Trevor to take a lie detector test, while E4's first look topped the day's multichannel ratings with 662k (3.5%) at 7pm and 115k (0.5%) on +1.
Neighbours entertained 634k (9.7%) at 1.45pm and 765k (5.4%) at 5.30pm on Channel 5 as Madge Bishop made a shock reappearance in the show's 30th anniversary episode.
Later, 90-minute tribute documentary Neighbours 30th: The Stars Reunite appealed to 789k (5.7%) at 10pm on Channel 5. Afterwards, repeat screenings of Scott and Charlene's wedding and the first ever Neighbours episode managed 316k (4.7%) and 294k (6.1%) at 11.30pm and 11.55pm respectively.
Home and Away mustered 259k (3.9%) at 1.15pm and 506k (3.1%) at 6pm on Channel 5, while 5*'s first look followed with 429k (2.4%) at 6.30pm.
Elsewhere, Doctors was seen by 1.2m (18.4%) at 1.45pm on BBC One.
