EastEnders topped a relatively lacklustre night for the soaps on Thursday (March 5), overnight figures show.
The Walford drama was the day's most-watched programme, pulling in 6.83m (34.1%) at 7.30pm on BBC One as Kim, Kat, Linda and Shirley bonded after-hours at The Vic. BBC Three's repeat screening secured 332k (2.4%) at 10.30pm.
Emmerdale attracted 5.85m (31.0%) at 7pm on ITV and 127k (0.6%) on +1 as Val's life hung in the balance, while 5.39m (25.5%) returned at 8pm and 204k (1.0%) on +1 as the B&B boss began to make a recovery.
Hollyoaks claimed 861k (4.8%) at 6.30pm on Channel 4 as Lindsey made contact with Joe, while E4's first look followed with 638k (3.4%) at 7pm and 148k (0.7%) on +1.
Neighbours achieved its highest lunchtime rating of the year so far, rising to 768k (11.1%) at 1.45pm on Channel 5 as Terese's brother arrived in Erinsborough. 784k (5.4%) watched the teatime airing at 5.30pm, which was Channel 5's top-rated programme of the day.
Home and Away interested 264k (3.9%) at 1.15pm and 621k (3.8%) at 6pm on Channel 5, while 5*'s first look had 487k (2.7%) at 6.30pm.
Elsewhere, Doctors was seen by 1.54m (22.6%) at 1.45pm on BBC One.
