Lauren's discovery shared with 7.1m on Thursday's EastEnders

EastEnders topped the soap ratings on Thursday evening (February 5) with the latest mysterious clue in the Lucy Beale whodunit, overnight figures show.

The Walford drama was the most-watched show of the day, attracting 7.14m (33.6%) at 7.30pm on BBC One as Lauren was shocked when she found the missing piece of Emma's case file on the murder.

Afterwards, episode two of EastEnders: 30 Years of Cliffhangers interested 332k (1.5%) at 8pm on BBC Three, while the channel's usual EastEnders repeat screening secured 410k (2.9%) at 10.30pm.

Emmerdale brought in 6.6m (33.1%) at 7pm on ITV and 130k (0.6%) on +1 as Katie finally secured proof of Robert's affair. 6.49m (29.1%) returned at 8pm and 273k (1.2%) on +1 as Katie fell to her death following an altercation with Robert.

Hollyoaks appealed to 907k (4.9%) at 6.30pm on Channel 4 as Dirk received a sinister note following his decision to leave Will to die. E4's first look followed with 698k (3.5%) at 7pm and 135k (0.6%) on +1.

Neighbours entertained 584k (8.2%) at 1.45pm and 781k (5.1%) at 5.30pm on Channel 5 as Naomi made a new enemy.

Home and Away claimed 204k (2.9%) at 1.15pm and 678k (3.9%) at 6pm, while 5*'s first look followed with 366k (2.0%) at 6.30pm.

Elsewhere, Doctors was seen by 1.69m (23.9%) at 1.45pm on BBC One.
