The Walford drama was the most-watched programme of the day, attracting 7.38m (33.9%) at 7.30pm on BBC One as Mick demanded a showdown with Dean after growing frustrated with the lack of progress in the rape investigation. BBC Three's repeat screening secured 360k (2.6%) at 10.30pm.
Emmerdale brought in 6.47m (32.4%) at 7pm on ITV and 177k (0.8%) on +1 as Katie's feud with Robert threatened her marriage to Andy.
After Emmerdale, a repeat airing of Deirdre and Me - a documentary paying tribute to the late Coronation Street actress Anne Kirkbride - was seen by 2.83m (12.9%) at 7.30pm on ITV and 181k (0.8%) on +1.
Holby City interested 4.91m (22.2%) at 8pm on BBC One with Mary-Claire's chance to prove herself at work.
Hollyoaks entertained 1m (5.4%) at 6.30pm on Channel 4 as Will chose Cindy as his next target, while E4's first look followed with 699k (3.5%) at 7pm and 178k (0.8%) on +1.
Neighbours appealed to 625k (8.9%) at 1.45pm and 935k (6.2%) at 5.30pm on Channel 5 with the ongoing Sonya and Erin storyline.
Home and Away grabbed 219k (3.0%) at 1.15pm and 701k (4.0%) at 6pm on Channel 5, while 5*'s first look had 340k (1.8%) at 6.30pm.
