Coronation Street tops the midweek soap ratings with 7.2m

Coronation Street topped the midweek soap ratings (November 19) with Steve and Michelle's latest relationship troubles, overnight figures show.

7.16m (34.3%) watched at 7.30pm on ITV and 182k (0.9%) on +1 as Michelle became furious with Steve for letting her down again.

Emmerdale attracted 6.1m (31.2%) at 7pm on ITV and 146k (0.7%) on +1 as Pete found himself in hot water with the police.

Waterloo Road managed 2.54m (12.2%) at 8pm on BBC One as Justin tried to turn over a new leaf.

Hollyoaks claimed 1.01m (5.2%) at 6.30pm on Channel 4 and 119k (0.6%) on +1 as Lindsey gave birth, while E4's first look followed with 804k (4.1%) at 7pm and 240k (1.2%) on +1 for Mercedes's sinister exit storyline.

Neighbours entertained 676k (9.6%) at 1.45pm and 869k (5.4%) at 5.30pm on Channel 5 as Josh's sentencing day arrived.

Home and Away mustered 279k (3.9%) at 1.15pm and 593k (3.2%) at 6pm, while 5*'s first look had 438k (2.3%) at 6.30pm.

Elsewhere, Doctors continued with 1.41m (20.2%) at 1.45pm on BBC One.
