EastEnders topped Thursday evening's soap ratings (October 30) with the latest twists in Nick Cotton's return storyline, overnight figures show.
6.66m (33.4%) watched at 7.30pm on BBC One as Dot was shocked to see a quick glimpse of Nick through her kitchen window, fuelling her theory that her villainous son is still alive.
Emmerdale attracted 6.19m (32.5%) at 7pm on ITV and 108k (0.5%) on +1 as Charity interfered with Cain's plan to kidnap Maxine. 6.05m (29.5%) returned at 8pm and 269k (1.3%) on +1 as Charity's drastic actions left Maxine begging for mercy.
Hollyoaks continued with 843k (4.5%) at 6.30pm on Channel 4 as Carmel faced a dangerous showdown with Sonny, while E4's first look followed with 764k (4.0%) at 7pm and 139k (0.7%) on +1.
Neighbours entertained 600k (7.9%) at 1.45pm and 797k (5.3%) at 5.30pm on Channel 5 as Paige found herself at the centre of more tension.
Home and Away managed 220k (2.9%) at 1.15pm and 490k (2.8%) at 6pm on Channel 5, while 5*'s first look followed with 309k (1.7%) at 6.30pm.
Elsewhere, the latest episode of Doctors was seen by 1.47m (19.7%) at 1.45pm on BBC One.
