Coronation Street stayed on top of the soap ratings on Friday evening (August 22) with Leanne Tilsley's furious outburst at the Bistro, overnight figures show.
6.26m (35.5%) tuned in at 7.30pm on ITV and 163k (0.8%) on +1 as Leanne went on the rampage at Nick's business in the hope that he would confess to his deception. The show later remained steady with 6.26m (32.1%) returning at 8.30pm and 165k (0.9%) on +1 as Leanne's plan worked and Nick was forced to reveal all.
EastEnders claimed 5.67m (30.4%) at 8pm on BBC One as Charlie had to decide whether to stay in Walford, while BBC Three's repeat screening had 353k (2.0%) at 10.30pm.
Emmerdale attracted 5.16m (31.4%) at 7pm on ITV and 178k (1.0%) on +1 as April went missing in the continued aftermath of Donna's death.
Hollyoaks interested 784k (5.2%) at 6.30pm on Channel 4 with the latest Blake family dramas. E4's first look followed with 605k (3.7%) at 7pm and 170k (0.9%) on +1.
Over on Channel 5, Neighbours managed 580k (8.1%) at 1.45pm and 741k (6.0%) at 5.30pm, while Home and Away mustered 217k (3.0%) at 1.15pm, 541k (3.8%) at 6pm and 257k (1.7%) for 5*'s first look at 6.30pm.
Elsewhere, Doctors continued with 1.24m (17.3%) at 1.45pm on BBC One.
