Coronation Street attracts 6.2 million on Wednesday

Coronation Street topped the soap ratings on Wednesday evening, overnight data reveals.

Ken's trip to see Peter in prison attracted 6.26 million viewers (34.3%) at 7.30pm, with an added 379,000 (1.8%) on +1.

Earlier, Emmerdale brought in 5.24m (31.5%) at 7pm (213k/1.1% on +1) as Marlon told Paddy about his kiss with Donna.

On Channel 4, Hollyoaks was seen by 880k (5.8%) at 6.30pm (108k/0.8%) as Sam and Danny were revealed to have died in the car crash. E4's first-look appealed to 811k (4.9%) at 7pm (295k/1.5%).

In the daytime, BBC One's Doctors continued with 1.14m (17.6%) at 1.45pm.

Channel 5's Home and Away gathered 174k (2.5%) at 1.15pm and 586k (4.3%) at 6pm. 5*'s first-look interested 317k (2.1%) at 6.30pm.

Neighbours attracted 542k (8.3%) at 1.45pm and 764k (6.7%) at 5.30pm.
