Coronation Street was ahead in Monday evening's soap ratings (July 28) with Nick Tilsley's latest outburst, overnight figures show.
6.44m (33.2%) watched at 7.30pm on ITV and 210k (1.0%) on +1 as Nick faced a difficult mediation session with his estranged wife Leanne, while the audience rose slightly to 6.45m (30.2%) at 8.30pm and 230k (1.1%) on +1 as the Bistro boss went on the rampage after spotting Gail and Michael kissing.
Emmerdale brought in 5.29m (30.2%) at 7pm on ITV and 203k (1.0%) on +1 as the truth about Finn's attack was revealed.
EastEnders' performance on BBC Two improved as 4.76m (23.4%) saw the revelation that Nick Cotton is still alive at 8pm. Airing later than usual at 11pm, BBC Three's repeat screening secured 537k (5.1%).
Hollyoaks attracted 900k (5.5%) at 6.30pm on Channel 4 as Cindy's troubles continued, while E4's first look followed with 678k (3.9%) at 7pm.
Over on Channel 5, Neighbours appealed to 581k (8.5%) at 1.45pm and 618k (5.0%) at 5.30pm, while Home and Away managed 230k (3.1%) at 1.15pm, 572k (3.8%) at 6pm and 304k (1.9%) with 5*'s first look at 6.30pm.
