Emmerdale was Tuesday evening's top-rated soap (July 22) as Kerry and Dan's wedding day took a surprising turn, overnight figures show.
The hour-long visit to the village, which saw Kerry exposed as a bigamist at her wedding reception, entertained 4.84m (29.1%) from 7pm on ITV and 228k (1.3%) on +1.
EastEnders once again suffered due to a clash with the rival soap, dipping to 4.06m (22.8%) at 7.30pm on BBC One as Anthony Trueman made a surprise return following Patrick's stroke. However, BBC Three's catch-up screening later saw a boost with 582k (4.0%) tuning in at 10.30pm, the show's best repeat figure since June 3.
During the 30-minute clash period itself, Emmerdale had 4.88m (27.5%).
Holby City brought in 3.86m (21.5%) at 8pm on BBC One as Elliot faced his fears over his surgery.
Hollyoaks attracted 714k (5.2%) at 6.30pm on Channel 4 as Cameron targeted Sam following his release, while E4's first look followed with 673k (4.3%) at 7pm and 141k (0.8%) on +1.
Over on Channel 5, Neighbours grabbed 605k (10.6%) at 1.45pm and 655k (6.1%) at 5.30pm as Naomi faced the consequences of her deceit, while Home and Away managed 207k (3.4%) at 1.15pm, 513k (4.0%) at 6pm and 241k (1.7%) with 5*'s first look at 6.30pm.
Elsewhere, Doctors appealed to 1.07m (19.0%) at 1.45pm on BBC One.
