Coronation Street topped Monday's soap ratings (July 7) with Carla's attempts to move on from Peter, overnight figures show.
7.02m (35.5%) tuned in at 7.30pm on ITV and 116k (0.6%) on +1 as Carla set her sights on Luke at The Rovers, while 6.94m (32.8%) returned at 8.30pm and 204k (0.9%) on +1 as Luke gently rejected Carla back at her flat.
EastEnders attracted 6.14m (30.7%) at 8pm on BBC One as Lee Carter returned for Linda's birthday celebrations, while BBC Three's repeat screening secured 326k (2.2%) at 10.30pm.
Emmerdale interested 5.76m (31.5%) at 7pm on ITV and 115k (0.6%) on +1 as Declan discovered that Charity had been lying to him.
Hollyoaks grabbed 897k (5.3%) at 6.30pm on Channel 4 as Sienna discovered Nancy's secret, while E4's first look followed with 784k (4.3%) at 7pm.
Over on Channel 5, Neighbours entertained 613k (8.9%) at 1.45pm and 750k (5.9%) at 5.30pm, while Home and Away managed 244k (3.4%) at 1.15pm, 555k (3.7%) at 6pm and 336k (2.0%) with 5*'s first look at 6.30pm.
Elsewhere, BBC One's Doctors returned to screens with 1.28m (18.6%) at 1.45pm.
