Coronation Street tops Wednesday's soap ratings...

Coronation Street remained above the 7 million mark with Wednesday's episode (May 7), overnight figures show.

7.12m (34.9%) tuned in at 7.30pm on ITV and 202k (0.9%) on +1 as Anna broke down in an emotional heart-to-heart with Roy at the café.

Elsewhere, Emmerdale was back above the 6 million mark as 6.03m (32.2%) watched Alicia face the consequences of her deception at 7pm on ITV. 160k (0.8%) caught the episode an hour later on +1.

Hollyoaks interested 979k (5.7%) at 6.30pm on Channel 4 as Sinead's revenge plans took a surprising turn, while E4's first look followed with 792k (4.2%) at 7pm and 119k (0.6%) on +1.

Over on Channel 5, the reappearance of Montague in Neighbours pulled in 615k (9.2%) at 1.45pm and 866k (6.3%) at 5.30pm.

Meanwhile, BBC One's Doctors had its highest figure since returning from the Easter break, taking 1.39m (20.9%) at 1.45pm.
