EastEnders stayed above the 7 million mark on Tuesday evening (March 25) as fans were left wondering about Charlie Cotton's motivations, overnight figures show.

7.04m (33.1%) watched at 7.30pm on BBC One as Charlie was clearly hiding something from Dot in the build-up to Nick's funeral.

Emmerdale attracted 6.1m (30.6%) at 7pm on ITV and 169k (0.8%) on +1 as Moira encouraged Debbie to give Pete another chance.

Holby City entertained 4.81m (21.9%) at 8pm on BBC One as Jac caused trouble on Bonnie's hen night.

Hollyoaks continued with 1.11m (5.9%) at 6.30pm on Channel 4 as Peri was diagnosed with a brain tumour, while the fallout on E4's first look was seen by 741k (3.7%) at 7pm and 138k (0.6%) on +1.

Over on Channel 5, an emotional showdown between Lauren and her mum on Neighbours was witnessed by 632k (8.7%) at 1.45pm and 851k (5.8%) at 5.30pm, while Home and Away grabbed 289k (3.7%) at 1.15pm, 624k (3.6%) at 6pm and 494k (2.6%) for 5*'s first look at 6.30pm.

Elsewhere, the latest episode of Doctors was seen by 1.67m (22.9%) at 1.45pm on BBC One.
