EastEnders was ahead in Tuesday's soap ratings

EastEnders was Tuesday's most-watched soap (February 25) with Janine's shock ultimatum to Stacey and Kat, overnight figures show.

Airing against ITV's coverage of the Olympiakos vs. Manchester United game, EastEnders pulled in 7.25m (32.9%) at 7.30pm on BBC One as Janine promised to help Stacey if Kat made a false statement against Alice. BBC Three's repeat screening secured 536k (3.7%) at 10.30pm.

Emmerdale attracted 6.68m (31.8%) at 7pm on ITV and 167k (0.7%) on +1 as Charity and Declan continued to worry about Jai's mission to track down Rachel.

Holby City, which was also up against the football, interested 4.82m (20.5%) at 8pm on BBC One with Jonny's first day at work in his new role.

Hollyoaks managed 1.01m (5.2%) at 6.30pm on Channel 4 as Robbie learned the truth about John Paul's ordeal, while E4's first look topped the day's multichannel ratings with 844k (4.0%) at 7pm and 122k (0.5%) on +1.

Over on Channel 5, Neighbours appealed to 577k (8.3%) at 1.45pm and 853k (5.5%) at 5.30pm, while Home and Away mustered 187k (2.6%) at 1.15pm, 675k (3.7%) at 6pm and 444k (2.3%) for 5*'s first look at 6.30pm.

Elsewhere, the latest episode of Doctors had 1.46m (21.0%) at 1.45pm on BBC One.
