Hollyoaks' Sienna Blake storyline boosted the soap's E4 first look airing on Friday evening (December 13), overnight figures show.
911k (4.6%) tuned in at 7pm on E4 to see the aftermath of Sienna's lies being exposed at last. Hollyoaks was the most-watched multichannel programme of the day and a further 120k (0.6%) saw the E4+1 screening an hour later.
Earlier, the dramatic reveal of Sienna's deception was seen by 1m (5.3%) in the traditional 6.30pm slot on Channel 4.
Coronation Street was the most-watched soap of the day, bringing in 7.73m (37.1%) at 7.30pm on ITV and 157k (0.7%) on +1 as David decided to hand himself in to the police. 7.67m (34.5%) returned at 8.30pm and 246k (1.2%) on +1 as Nick stopped David from going through with his drastic plan.
EastEnders attracted 6.63m (30.8%) at 8pm on BBC One with Carol's breast cancer scare, while BBC Three's repeat screening secured 526k (3.3%) at 10.30pm.
Emmerdale interested 6.31m (31.9%) at 7pm on ITV as Jai and Charity's storyline took a new twist, adding 103k (0.5%) on +1.
Over on Channel 5, Neighbours appealed to 659k (9.7%) at 1.45pm and 781k (5.0%) at 5.30pm, while the final Home and Away episode of the year managed 255k (3.7%) at 1.15pm and 517k (2.9%) at 6pm. 5*'s first look screening of the Summer Bay soap had 394k (2.1%) at 6.30pm.
Elsewhere, the final Doctors episode before its Christmas break grabbed 1.43m (21.0%) at 1.45pm on BBC One.
