Coronation Street tops Friday evening's soap ratings

Coronation Street was Friday evening's most-watched soap (October 25) as Tina and Tracy's feud escalated, overnight figures show.

7.85m (38.3%) watched at 7.30pm on ITV and 224k (1.0%) on +1 as Tina smashed the window of Tracy's shop following a series of rows, while 7.67m (34.2%) returned at 8.30pm and 309k (1.5%) on +1 to see an angry response from Tracy.

Emmerdale appealed to 6.54m (33.8%) at 7pm on ITV as Cain remained concerned over Ross Barton's presence at Butler's Farm, adding 192k (0.9%) on +1.

EastEnders interested 6.19m (29.1%) at 8pm on BBC One as Alice turned against Michael, while BBC Three's repeat screening secured 324k (2.1%) at 10.30pm.

Hollyoaks brought in 930k (5.1%) at 6.30pm on Channel 4 as Maxine collapsed at home. E4's first look followed with 615k (3.2%) at 7pm.

Over on Channel 5, Neighbours entertained 680k (9.4%) at 1.45pm and 799k (5.4%) at 5.30pm, while Home and Away managed 256k (3.4%) at 1.15pm, 629k (3.7%) at 6pm and 439k (2.4%) for 5*'s first look at 6.30pm.

Elsewhere, the latest episode of Doctors was seen by 1.34m (18.7%) at 1.45pm on BBC One.
