Coronation Street topped Monday evening's soap ratings (August 19) as the Lloyd and Paul storyline continued, overnight figures show.
8.1m (39.9%) watched at 7.30pm on ITV and 108k (0.5%) on +1 as Lloyd was confronted by racist thugs on an evening out, while there was a slight increase to 8.12m (35.9%) at 8.30pm and 201k (0.9%) on +1 as Paul stepped in to defend Lloyd.
EastEnders attracted 6.88m (31.8%) at 8pm on BBC One as Denise and Ian hit the rocks. BBC Three's repeat screening secured 395k (2.6%) at 10.30pm.
Emmerdale interested 6.48m (36.0%) at 7pm on ITV as Nikhil stood firm over his plans to leave the village, adding 151k (0.7%) on +1.
Hollyoaks brought in 955k (5.9%) at 6.30pm on Channel 4 as Danny nearly made a big mistake by pursuing Ste, while E4's first look had 516k (2.9%) at 7pm.
Over on Channel 5, Kate's struggle in Neighbours was seen by 617k (8.5%) at 1.45pm and 889k (7.2%) at 5.30pm, while classic airings of Home and Away on 5* continued with 66k (0.4%) at 6.30pm.
Elsewhere, the latest episode of Doctors was seen by 1.35m (18.9%) at 1.45pm on BBC One.
