Coronation Street easily came out on top in the soaps on Wednesday evening (July 17), overnight data reveals.
A total of 6.36 million (35.6%) tuned in on ITV to see Peter lose his temper with Rob over his business dealings at 7.30pm, with a further 391,000 (1.9%) on +1.
Emmerdale attracted 5.50m (34.1%) at 7pm (292k/1.5% on +1) as Laurel became determined to take action against her attacker.
Channel 4's Hollyoaks interested 829k (5.7%) at 6.30pm as Tony and Diane struggle to move on from his cancer diagnosis. E4's first look was seen by 496k (3.1%) at 7pm (136k/0.7%).
On Channel 5, Neighbours brought in 519k (9.8%) at 1.45pm, and 692k (6.1%) at 5.30pm. Home and Away was seen by 254k (4.3%) at 1.15pm, 494k (3.7%) at 6pm, and 365k (2.5%) for 5*'s first look at 6.30pm.
