EastEnders was Tuesday's most-watched soap (July 9) with the latest drama for the Hartman family, overnight figures show.
6.18m (35.5%) watched at 7.30pm on BBC One as Dexter decided to put Ava first and stopped Sam from leaving Walford. BBC Three's repeat screening secured 478k (3.1%) at 10.30pm.
Emmerdale brought in 5.37m (33.2%) at 7pm on ITV as Laurel was targeted by a carjacker, adding 241k (1.3%) on +1.
Holby City appealed to 4.24m (22.7%) at 8pm on BBC One with Oliver's exit from the show.
Hollyoaks entertained 952k (6.4%) at 6.30pm on Channel 4 as Frankie worried about Tilly and Esther, while E4's first look had 639k (3.9%) at 7pm.
On Channel 5, Neighbours grabbed 508k (9.9%) at 1.45pm and 890k (7.8%) at 5.30pm, while Home and Away managed 210k (3.7%) at 1.15pm, 600k (4.5%) at 6pm and 432k (2.9%) for 5*'s first look at 6.30pm.
