Coronation Street was back above the 8 million mark with both of its Monday night episodes yesterday (July 1), overnight figures show.
8.2m (39.3%) watched at 7.30pm on ITV and 174k (0.8%) on +1 as scheming David continued to make Nick suspicious over Leanne and Peter, while 8.15m (35.6%) returned at 8.30pm and 305k (1.3%) on +1 as David confided in Tina.
EastEnders interested 6.88m (31.6%) at 8pm on BBC One with the aftermath of Tanya's exit. BBC Three's repeat screening secured 478k (3.0%) at 10.30pm.
Emmerdale appealed to 6.24m (33.0%) at 7pm on ITV as Debbie's troubles continued, adding 188k (0.9%) on +1.
Hollyoaks brought 948k (5.5%) to Channel 4 at 6.30pm as Phoebe was kidnapped by Trevor, while E4's first look had 626k (3.3%) at 7pm.
Over on Channel 5, Neighbours entertained 553k (7.5%) at 1.45pm and 798k (5.3%) at 5.30pm, while Home and Away managed 274k (3.7%) at 1.15pm, 654k (3.8%) at 6pm and 458k (2.6%) for 5*'s first look at 6.30pm.
