EastEnders tops Tuesday evening's soap ratings...

EastEnders topped Tuesday evening's (November 6) soap ratings with Phil and Sharon's attempts to impress social services, overnight figures show.

The Walford drama pulled in 7.62m (33.9%) at 7.30pm on BBC One as the fake couple were quizzed as part of their scheme to bring Lexi home. BBC Three's repeat screening secured 466k (3.1%) at 10.30pm.

Also on BBC One, Holby City entertained 4.55m (19.0%) at 8pm with a big episode for Hanssen.

Emmerdale, meanwhile, attracted 7.34m (33.8%) at 7pm on ITV1 as Megan tried to fight back against Declan, adding 175k (0.7%) on +1.

Hollyoaks interested 1.1m (5.3%) at 6.30pm on Channel 4 with Nikki Sanderson's first scenes in the role of Maxine, while E4's first look had 588k (2.7%) at 7pm.

Over on Channel 5, Neighbours grabbed 709k (9.4%) at 1.45pm and 979k (5.8%) at 5.30pm, while Home and Away mustered 772k (4.0%) at 6pm and 496k (2.4%) for 5*'s first look at 6.30pm.

Elsewhere, the latest episode of Doctors was seen by 1.36m (18.1%) at 1.45pm on BBC One.
