Coronation Street topped Monday night's (October 8) soap ratings with Ken and Deirdre's latest marriage crisis, overnight figures show.![]()
The Weatherfield soap pulled in 8.73m (39.3%) at 7.30pm on ITV1 and 165k (0.7%) on +1 as Deirdre discovered that Wendy Crozier is back on the scene. 8.52m (35.3%) returned at 8.30pm and 246k (1.1%) on timeshift as Deirdre had confrontations with both Wendy and Ken.
EastEnders, meanwhile, attracted 7.59m (31.7%) at 8pm on BBC One as Lola struggled to cope after losing Lexi. BBC Three's repeat screening secured 481k (3.3%) at 10.30pm.
Emmerdale appealed to 7.13m (34.2%) at 7pm on ITV1 as Chas took the blame for the Woolpack break-in, adding 126k (0.5%) on +1.
Hollyoaks interested 1.07m (5.4%) at 6.30pm on Channel 4 and 102k (0.5%) on timeshift as Darren lost his temper with Nancy, while E4's first look continued to perform well with 674k (3.2%) at 7pm.
Over on Channel 5, Neighbours grabbed 699k (9.5%) at 1.45pm and 866k (5.7%) at 5.30pm, while Home and Away managed 698k (3.9%) at 6pm and 569k (2.9%) for 5*'s first look at 6.30pm.
Elsewhere, the latest episode of Doctors had 1.55m (21.1%) at 1.45pm on BBC One.
