EastEnders topped Thursday evening's (October 4) soap ratings with Kat Moon's attempts to keep her family's place at the Queen Vic, overnight figures show.
The Walford drama pulled in 7.1m (33.5%) at 7.30pm on BBC One as Kat begged Phil for one last chance. BBC Three's repeat screening secured 403k (2.8%) at 10.30pm.
Emmerdale, meanwhile, attracted 6.46m (32.1%) at 7pm on ITV1 and 110k (0.5%) on +1 as Cameron prepared to rob The Woolpack. Later, 5.65m (24.9%) returned at 8pm and 190k (0.8%) on timeshift to see the next developments in the storyline.
After Emmerdale, the latest instalment of The Corrie Years interested 2.58m (11.4%) on ITV1 at 8.30pm and 118k (0.5%) on +1.
Also airing in the 8pm hour, Waterloo Road appealed to 3.32m (14.6%) on BBC One as Grantly battled to get his wedding plans back on track.
Hollyoaks grabbed 973k (5.3%) at 6.30pm on Channel 4 with the continuing fallout from Walker's revenge, while E4's first look had 639k (3.2%) at 7pm.
Over on Channel 5, Neighbours managed 695k (10.5%) at 1.45pm and 941k (6.4%) at 5.30pm, while Home and Away had 683k (4.0%) at 6pm and 485k (2.6%) for 5*'s first look at 6.30pm.
Elsewhere, the latest episode of Doctors had 1.26m (19.1%) at 1.45pm on BBC One.
