Emmerdale's ratings remained steady with its midweek outing on Wednesday evening (April 25), overnight figures show.
Emmerdale pulled in 6.85m (32.9%) at 7pm and 185k (0.8%) on +1 as Laurel struggled under the pressure to keep Ashley's secret.
Waterloo Road, meanwhile, entertained 4.69m (20.0%) at 8pm with the final episode set in Rochdale.
Hollyoaks grabbed 1.07m (5.4%) at 6.30pm and 154k (0.7%) on timeshift as Phoebe's future was decided, while E4's first look interested 475k (2.3%) at 7pm.
Over on Channel 5, Neighbours appealed to 667k (8.6%) at 1.45pm and 956k (6.0%) at 5.30pm, while Home and Away managed 738k (4.0%) at 6pm and 463k (2.4%) for 5*'s first look at 6.30pm.
Elsewhere, Doctors' Shakespeare week continued with 1.69m (21.7%) at 1.45pm on BBC One.
