Coronation Street was back above the 9m mark last night (April 16) as Terry Duckworth returned to the cobbles, overnight figures show.
Coronation Street pulled in 8.98m (39.7%) at 7.30pm and 123k (0.5%) on +1 as Terry had a scrap with Tommy on the street, while 9.32m (38.3%) watched at 8.30pm and 228k (0.9%) on timeshift as Tommy battled with his emotions.
EastEnders, meanwhile, attracted 8.19m (35.2%) at 8pm with the continuing aftermath of Heather's murder. BBC Three's repeat screening secured 568k (2.9%) at 10pm.
Emmerdale interested 7.01m (33.8%) at 7pm and 127k (0.5%) on +1 as Elliot returned to the village, while Hollyoaks grabbed 1.01m (5.3%) at 6.30pm on Channel 4 and 401k (1.9%) for E4's first look at 7pm.
Over on Channel 5, Neighbours appealed to 732k (10.6%) at 1.45pm and 949k (6.3%) at 5.30pm, while Home and Away managed 805k (4.5%) at 6pm and 503k (2.6%) for 5*'s first look at 6.30pm.
Elsewhere, the latest episode of Doctors - titled 'Short Changed' - was seen by 1.48m (21.6%) at 1.45pm on BBC One.
